Training workshops facilitated by Olivia Doherty

Our workshops are designed to empower organisations to develop effective children's participation strategies, ensuring young people's voices are meaningfully integrated into service design and delivery.

  • I specialize in facilitating tailored workshops for young people, collaborating closely with organisations to create bespoke programs that meet their specific needs. I lead, produce, and deliver high-quality projects in film, animation, writing, and public installations. By employing a diverse range of creative methods, I empower young individuals to express themselves, drive change, and engage actively in the design and delivery of the services they receive. Together, we can foster an environment that encourages meaningful participation and impactful outcomes.

  • Understanding and implementing Article 12 and other key children's rights principles in your organization's practices.

  • Assess current practices, develop strategic plans, and ensure children's voices remain central to organisational decision-making processes.

“I have known and worked with Olivia Doherty for over three years as both a professional writer and in my Royal Literary Fund role. Together, we have worked on numerous projects from supporting staff writing policy documents to helping young people in care to find their authentic written voices. Olivia is a passionate advocate for children’s rights and opportunities, and works tirelessly – and imaginatively - to support them. Through Olivia’s dedicated outreach work, dozens of children have benefitted from creative partnerships, in our case, with professional writers. Olivia knows that better written expression leads to happier, healthier lives with greater opportunities, and she works tirelessly to source funding and project partners to enable this underrepresented (and often overlooked) group get the support they so need and deserve. Olivia’s energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and it is a pleasure to work with her”.
